KCAUG Users Questions and Answers
Anybody know, in autocad 2009, when a block is made that has the Do Not Allow Exploding checked. Is there any way to turn
that off
Can you specify object properties, such as the layer, linetype, and color of objects when exploding a block.
DATAEXTRACTION (2008) - allows you to extract text to an excel file
UNDEFINE
(2008) - Allows an application-defined command to override an internal command REDEFINE (2008) - Restores
AutoCAD internal commands overridden by UNDEFINE. For those of you that have lost
commands in ACAD due to an overzealous Cad Manager, there is an easy fix. I know we talked about the REDEFINE command and
it didn’t work for some of you. The trick is to put a dot (.) in front of the command you want to use and it will work.
The dot on the front of say .LINE will give you a line command even if –LINE and LINE won’t. (updated 12/9/08)
QSELECT - Creates a selection set based on filtering criteria
SCALELISTEDIT - Allows you to modify
the scale list or reset the list back to the defaults
TE (2005) - edit/import text,
attributes or files. You start the Command pick text or attribute, then highlight the text you need editing then enter.
It brings up a Notepad with all the text that you selected, (caution if you highlight allot of text sometimes it doesn't
recognize it as columns and rows, so you better off one line copy). then you can copy paste in excel to do, like for me to
subtract -.025 off of 486 different elevations that is in a column (two thumbs up), whatever type of editing your needing
done then copy back in to the tablet that opened from the command and press enter then close it whalla, it updates pretty
quick and nifty
